摘要: Myorhythmia is defined as repetitive, rhythmic, slow (1-4 Hz) movement affecting chiefly cranial and limb muscles. When occurring in the limbs it may be oscillatory jerky, whereas oculo-masticatory myorhythmia, typically associated with Whipple's disease, a slow, often asymmetrical, facial ocular movement. Thus, myorhythmia overlaps phenomenologically tremor segmental myoclonus. Although present at rest, must differentiated from parkinsonian or dystonic tremor. Recognition of this disorder important because usually lesions involving brainstem, thalamus, other diencephalic structures potentially treatable etiologies. In addition to has been described patients cerebrovascular listeria encephalitis, anti-N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor steroid-responsive encephalopathy autoimmune thyroiditis, multiple sclerosis, disorders. our own experience, we have systematically reviewed medical literature, focusing on phenomenology, pathophysiology, etiology poorly recognized disorder. review, aim highlight clinical features that differentiate Treatment should directed against underlying etiology.
