摘要: ABSTRACT. Outside parliament, the story of Afrikaner nationalism is largely a political (and sometimes economic) activists establishing language and cultural organisations. In preliminary attempt to systematise intentions achievements these extra-parliamentary components movement, this article critiques refines Joep Leerssen's model as ‘the cultivation culture’ (Nations Nationalism 12, 4: 559–78). Drawing on examples Genootskap van Regte Afrikaanders Afrikaner-Broederbond, I revisit relationship between – both concepts actual movements question notion dichotomy.
