摘要: We perform a comprehensive study of the ability Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) to answer outstanding questions in neutrino sector. consider sensitivities mass hierarchy, octant θ23 and CP violation using data from beam atmospheric neutrinos. evaluate dependencies on precision with which θ13 will be measured by reactor experiments, detector size, power exposure time, magnetization, systematic uncertainties achievable without near detector. find that 35 kt far DUNE resolve eightfold degeneracy is intrinsic long baseline experiments meet primary goals oscillation physics it designed for.
