摘要: Abstract Molecular profiling studies have helped increase the understanding of immune processes thought to be involved in etiology and pathophysiology psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia. Current therapeutic interventions with first- second-generation antipsychotics are suboptimal. Poor response rates debilitating side effects often lead poor treatment compliance. This highlights pressing need identify more effective treatments well objective biomarker based tests, which can help predict diagnostic subpopulations. Such tests could enable early detection patients who will benefit from particular interventions. In this review, we discuss relating dysfunctions system schizophrenia antipsychotic medication on molecular components these systems. Immune dysfunction may part related genetic risk factors for schizophrenia, but there is substantial evidence that a wide range environmental ranging exposure infectious agents influenza Toxoplasma gondii HPA axis play an important role etiopathogenesis Ongoing research efforts, testing efficacy anti-inflammatory used add-on medications also discussed. From perspective, represent initial steps toward novel approaches patient care field mental health.
