摘要: Assumptions associated with Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) suggest that self-compassion, but not self-esteem, should be incompatible irrational beliefs and the emotional disturbances they produce. In this study, 184 university students responded to a self-compassion scale along measures of beliefs, depression, anxiety. As expected, correlated negatively irrationality, predicted better mental health, explained inverse connections self-esteem beliefs. support REBT, irrationality low frustration tolerance also partially mediated relationship Other findings for belief self-worth, nevertheless, suggested complexities REBT conceptual framework. These data most importantly confirmed as part what would describe an effective personal philosophy.
