摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the properties of S2 state associated with O2 evolution. Photosynthetic water oxidation requires generation four oxidizing equivalents per molecule evolved. These are produced by single charge separation events in photosystem II and stored an O2-evolving complex. A light-induced multiline electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) signal spinach chloroplasts arises from a species final product state. The most obvious feature EPR is wealth hyperfine structure. structure moderately strong coupling unpaired electrons to large net nuclear spin. splitting between lines low resolution spectrum approximately 90 G. Manganese (Mn) component that indicates Mn participates changes S advancement.
