摘要: Introducion: sarcopenia is defined as a syndrome characterized by progressive and generalized loss of muscle mass strength. The main cause the alteration protein metabolism, in which the proteolytic processes are not accompanied by an appropriate protein synthesis muscle cells lose progressively sensitivity to anabolic stimulus. most rational approach to delay progression counteract the anabolic resistance proper nutrition. Meat contains biologically active compounds, such creatine, carnitine, Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) have significant impacts upon human metabolism. Methods: we performed narrative literature review to evaluate till-now evidence regarding: 1. adequate intake meat elderly topic for prevention sarcopenia; 2. correct intake biologically compounds contain meat, significant impacts upon metabolism so beneficial effects on sarcopenia. This review included 62 eligible studies. Results: results demonstrated that the optimum diet therapy and treatment, must aim at achieving specific metabolic goals, recommend consumption 113 g of meat (220 kcal; 30 protein) five time week. Conclusion: varied balanced diet, preventing sarcopenia, it recommended to assume 4-5 times week (white 2 times per week, lean red meat less than processed less 1 time week), suggested pyramid elderly.
