Linking the NIH Strategic Plan to the Research Agenda for Social Workers in Health and Aging

摘要: Although social work has a long and distinctive tradition of practice-relevant research aimed at enhancing the health well-being older adults, profession been underrepresented among ranks academic researchers National Institutes Health's (NIH) scientific endeavors. In this article, inherent capacities workers to generate disseminate empirical health-related knowledge are discussed recent developments in work's geriatric infrastructure described. Emerging domains for advancing profession's contribution on federal level identified next steps toward field's agenda posed.
