摘要: Background: Measurement of fruit and vegetable intake is important in the surveillance populations epidemiologic studies that examine relations between diet disease. Some situations require use brief dietary assessment tools. Objective: Our objective was to evaluate performance 2 instruments, a 7-item standard screener new 16-item screener, complete food-frequency questionnaire (FFQ) measuring total consumption. Design: About 800 men women from National Institutes Health-AARP Diet Health Study completed an FFQ, 1 screeners, two 24-h recalls. Fruit intakes as measured by each FFQ were compared with estimated true usual using measurement-error model. Results: Median daily servings vegetables underestimated both screeners. The agreement higher for than men. Attenuation coefficients screeners comparable. Conclusions: For estimating median prevalence recommended being met, without appropriate adjustment suboptimal. relative risks disease, this are similar performance.
