摘要: Neutralization-escape variants of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) were sought in persons who had persistent low loads and remained asymptomatic for at least 12-16 years infection without antiretroviral therapy. Viruses isolated from 3 two or three time points during the course assessed neutralization by sequential autologous serum samples. Virus was poor undetectable with contemporaneous but improved later samples each person. In particular, isolates resisted that neutralized an earlier isolate. Strain-specific neutralizing antibodies detectable up to 4.2 diminishing titer. The results demonstrate neutralization-escape arise periodically HIV-1-infected long-term nonprogressors.
