摘要: Brain sexual differentiation is sculpted by precise coordination of steroid hormones during development. Programming several brain regions in males depends upon aromatase conversion testosterone to estrogen. However, it not clear the direct contribution that Y chromosome associated genes, especially sex-determining region (Sry), might exert on therian mammals. Two species spiny rats: Amami rat (Tokudaia osimensis) and Tokunoshima (T. tokunoshimensis) lack a chromosome/Sry, these individuals possess an XO system both sexes. Both Tokudaia are highly endangered. To assess neural transcriptome profile male female rats, RNA was isolated from samples adult rats had died accidentally used for RNAseq analyses. analyses confirmed genes individual transcripts were differentially expressed between females. In males, seminal vesicle secretory protein 5 (Svs5) cytochrome P450 1B1 (Cyp1b1) significantly elevated compared females, whereas serine (or cysteine) peptidase inhibitor, clade A, member 3 N (Serpina3n) upregulated Many included those encoding zinc finger proteins, e.g. X-linked (Zfx). This method successfully identified showed expression differences rat. The functional significance findings, differential this unusual rodent remains be determined.
