摘要: In this work, the photodynamic bactericidal effect of Rose Bengal (RB), combined with green LED light, against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella Typhimurium, was investigated. The interaction RB concentration illumination time evaluated using a response surface methodology, second‐order polynomial empirical model adjusted to experimental data. derived predicted influences these factors on S. Typhimurium counts, in accordance predictions observations (R² = 0.8483 p = .0013 for aureus; R² = 0.9191 = .0001 Typhimurium). Total inhibition observed when applying light dose 0.125 J cm⁻² 152.0 J cm⁻², respectively. treatments also showed loss membrane integrity, morphological changes, internal cell structural alterations. sum, developed could provide accurate information aPDT treatment and, that combination able inactivate Typhimurium.
