摘要: Background and objective To determine whether the diameter of capsulorhexis has an effect on anterior chamber depth (ACD) following phacoemulsification surgery. Patients methods Fifty-one consecutive patients were selected for cataract extraction by with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. Twenty-two 51 underwent 4 mm capsulorhexis, while rest 6 mm. All implanted a multi-piece polymethyl methacrylate posterior IOL 5.0 biconvex optic flexible haptic. They followed 3 months postoperatively. The width was assured according to intraoperatively, help slit-lamp measurement after dilatation pupil first postoperative day. ACD axial length (AL) obtained ultrasonography both days before surgery, seventh days, 30, 60 90 days. Results Early significant increase ACD/AL ratios observed in only group day postoperatively (P = .012, P .018). On 90th day, increased significantly .002) groups .049) when compared preoperative values. For same period, meaningful ratio eyes also noted preoperatively .002 .019). There statistical difference between values (3.73 +/- 0.32 mm, mean standard deviation) (3.50 0.33 mm) .028). different (0.152 0.01, 0.142 0.01 respectively) .004). refractive error changes showed differences 1st each .029, .014, respectively). Conclusion A results longer than does type used this study.
