摘要: Ad hoc networks provide an on-demand, infrastructure-free means to communicate between soldiers in war zones, aid workers disaster areas, or consumers device-to-device (D2D) applications. Unfortunately, ad are limited by interference due nearby transmissions. Millimeter-wave (mmWave) devices offer several potential advantages for networks, including reduced directional antennas and building blockages, not mention huge bandwidth channels large data rates. This paper uses a stochastic geometry approach characterize the one-way two-way signal-to-interference ratio distribution of mmWave network with antennas, random ALOHA channel access. The interference-to-noise shows that fundamental limitation network, interference, may still be issue. performance is bounded transmission capacity area spectral efficiency. results show can support much higher densities larger efficiencies, even presence blockage, compared lower frequency communication certain link distances. Due increased bandwidth, rate coverage greater than devices.
