摘要: Many of the at least 107 protein kinases encoded by S. pombe genome are critical for cell cycle progression. None, however, plays as important a role Cdc2p. It is synonymous with master regulator cycle, essential both DNA replication and entry into mitosis. This chapter focuses on Cdc2p involved in its regulation leaving discussion other chapters. Although much has been learned about Cdc2p, it remains subject fascination study continues to provide paradigms control applicable all eukaryotes.
