摘要: The presence of large reserves natural gas has stimulated research to utilize methane, its principal component, as an alternative energy source and convert it other fuels industrially important chemicals. in the world are estimated be 1.4 × 1014 Nm3, while new fields being discovered every year. Although this is available under pressure for piping transport, extensive efforts have been directed develop gas-to-liquid (GTL) technology conversion remote into high-added-value liquid products, such methanol synthetic fuels, that can more easily transported. A further incentive utilization originates from environmental concerns drive search cleaner sources. Catalytic combustion methane offers attractive gas-phase homogeneous since stabilize flames at lower fuel-to-air ratios, thereby lowering flame temperatures reducing NOx emission. Another found hydrogen, which used generate electricity fuel cells. Fuel cells a much higher efficiency compared current combustion-based power plants. Also, hydrogen than hydrocarbon feedstocks only product water.
