摘要: Axonal transport of enzymatically active botulinum toxin A (BTX-A) from periphery to the CNS has been described in facial and trigeminal nerve, leading cleavage synaptosomal-associated protein 25 (SNAP-25) central nuclei. Aim present study was examine existence axonal peripherally applied BTX-A spinal cord via sciatic nerve. We employed BTX-A-cleaved SNAP-25 immunohistochemistry lumbar after intramuscular subcutaneous hind limb injections, intraneural nerve injections. Truncated ipsilateral ventral horns dorsal appeared single peripheral administrations, even at low dose (5 U/kg). Cleaved appearance injection into prevented by proximal intrasciatic colchicine mM, 2 μl). horn, using choline-acetyltransferase (ChAT) double labeling, localized within cholinergic neurons. These results extend recent findings on retrograde Appearance truncated following low-dose suggest that occurs commonly application.
