摘要: The main olfactory bulb (MOB), the first relay station for transmission of information, has a roughly concentric arrangement seven layers. There are two types neuron groups – principal neurons (mitral and tufted cells) nonprincipal (local circuit such as periglomerular cells, granule short-axon projection neurons). Glomeruli one most distinctive structures in brain, where axon terminals contact dendritic tufts both local neurons. Within glomeruli other layers, neuronal elements MOB complexly interact with each via chemical synapses, especially dendrodendritic gap junctions.
