摘要: Abstract A combination of experimental and histologic techniques was employed to demonstrate the two pairs preacetabular glands ducts three postacetabular cercariae Puerto Rican Schistosoma mansoni. By these secretion from secretory apparatus, either unstained or stained intravitally with purpurin, induced into skin, on a surface human sebum rubbed substratum, vaseline wall rimming coverglass sealing mount cercarial suspension. These were emptied during initial stages skin penetration which schistosomules migrated along keratogenous zone across cellular epidermis. It observed that deposited mucoid (PAS-positive) apparatus as they looped over exploration, at site penetration, horny layers zone. Both types unstained, therefore considered exhausted their contents, shortly after beginning in single penetrants, when maximum effort appeared have been required for entry. Occasional penetrated groups entered areas already invaded retained remnants glandular contents showed specific stain. is suggested serves adhesive, lubricative, protective enzyme-directive functions, while primarily enzymatic. The possibility remains, however, secretions both pre- may be active enzymatically.
