摘要: BACKGROUND There are conflicting results with respect to the validity and reliability of lower extremity strength measurements using a hand-held dynamometer (HHD) in healthy population. Previous studies exploring foot inversion eversion HHD were carried out predominantly clinically affected participants different positions. The question arises whether isometric performed positions valid, reliable comparable can be used alternatively. PURPOSE aims this study investigate: a) intra- inter-tester participant belt-stabilized HHD; b) comparability obtained positions; c) concurrent aforementioned an isokinetic dynamometer. METHODS Thirty adults (12 females 18 males; mean age 22.5 ± 3.9 years) volunteered participate study. Maximal torques (Nm) measured lying supine, sitting knees extended on their side HHD. Measurements independently by two physiotherapists over days repeated Validity determined intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC). A two-way ANOVA (p < 0.05) post-hoc tests Bonferroni correction compare data from Bland-Altman plots demonstrate range error difference between measurements. RESULTS Intra-tester for was fair excellent all (ICC = 0.598-0.828). Excellent found (ICC = 0.773-0.860). For torques, (ICC = 0.519-0.879). ICC values 0.205 0.562 indicated low validity. significant observed supine side-lying as well (p < 0.05). showed that differences deviates considerably zero, indicating three produce compared CONCLUSIONS Inversion subjects seem reliable, but consistently underestimated torque output when dynamometry. While outcomes comparable, those supine/sitting differed. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE Diagnostic study, Level 3.
