摘要: Abstract Unilateral ligation of one uterine horn mature rats was performed to increase nutrient supply the other horn. One week postoperative, animals were mated. They gave birth offspring half normal number, which at that time heavier, having higher cerebral weight, total protein and amount DNA (an index number cells) than sham-operated controls. All increases statistically significant. No such differences observed when comparing newborn from litters naturally small in with those large litters. We suggest operated on had a potential for nourishing twice fetuses they actually produced so each latter received more nutrient, concomitant (brain cell number). Part this may have been due an neurons; neuron increment would persist throughout life animal.
