Seasonal variations of mesospheric hydrogen and ozone concentrations derived from ground‐based airglow and lidar observations

摘要: Upper atmospheric airglow emissions in the mesopause region, OI557.7 nm, NaD at 589.3 nm and OH(9,4) band 774.6 have been observed since 1977 Cachoeira Paulista (22.7°S, 45.0°W), Brazil. The seasonal dependence of intensity variations these was studied using data from a total 560 nights, during period June to November 1986. Strong semiannual were with maxima equinoxes, contrast emission, which showed much smaller variation. Hydrogen ozone concentrations around 87–89 km calculated intensities sodium concentration by lidar nearby station. obtained two species, opposite phase each other, are good agreement current dynamics models, show variation vertical transport atomic oxygen hydrogen.
