摘要: An environmental concern regarding the cultivation of transgenic crop plants is their effect on non-target organisms. Honey bees are obvious arthropods to be included in a risk assessment procedure but due complex social behaviour, testing transgene products individual not possible bee colonies. We employed laboratory larval rearing technique test impacts such honey bees. A serine proteinase inhibitor (Kunitz Soybean Trypsin Inhibitor, SBTI), that source insect resistance plants, was used as model insecticidal protein larvae reared individually laboratory. The addition 1.0% SBTI (w:w total protein) diet created significant additional mortality, slowed juvenile development and significantly decreased adult body mass. Our results suggest can monitor direct side-effects larvae. Apis mellifera /
