Rates of urinary excretion of free aldopentoses and fucose by fasting healthy adults: effects of ingested pentose-containing foods.

摘要: Abstract Free arabinose (~ 14 μg/min), xylose 8.5 ribose 5 μg/min) and fucose 17 were invariably found in urines of healthy fasting males (5)and females (6). Using two thin layer Chromatographic methods, the experimental recovery each added sugar was over 90%. Ingestion much fruit vegetables followed by increased rates excretion xylose; those did not differ from rates. Ad libitum ingestion “pentose free” foodstuffs alter any four sugars investigated. No evidence a circadian rhythm these 3 subjects 2 experiments.
