摘要: Much of the diversity anthocyanins is due to action glycosyltransferases, which add sugar moieties anthocyanidins. We identified two F3GT1 and F3GGT1, from red-fleshed kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) that perform sequential glycosylation steps. Red-fleshed genotypes accumulate mainly in form cyanidin 3-O-xylo-galactoside. Genes anthocyanin flavonoid biosynthetic pathway were shown be expressed fruit tissue. However, only expression glycosyltransferase was correlated with accumulation red tissues. Recombinant enzyme assays vitro vivo RNA interference (RNAi) demonstrated role production 3-O-galactoside. F3GGT1 further glycosylate moiety anthocyanins. This second can affect solubility stability pigments modify their colour. show recombinant catalyse addition UDP-xylose 3-galactoside. While responsible for end-product pathway, likely key regulating varieties.
