Characterization of palladium and palladium-silver alloy layers on stainless steel support

摘要: Pd and Pd/Ag layers were prepared by a technique of electroless plating on stainless steel supports. To form layers, layer was plated an activated (SS) sheet followed Ag plating. The Pd/Ag-SS composite annealed at 873 K-973 K for 10 h -12 in helium. Before annealing, the thickness 7.6 μm 1.9 μm, respectively. formation alloy observed SS after annealing 12 ratios Ag/(Pd+Ag) 0.28 surface XRF 0.29 bulk XPS. This result showed homogeneous that condition. Helium permeances measured pressure difference 1 atm room temperature. porous (PSS) tubes without with 78 100 m3/m2h 0.35 m3/m2h, obtained membrane almost dense membrane.
