摘要: Layer I, which plays an important role in the development of cerebral cortex, expands size and diversity primates. We found that, unlike rodents, macaque monkey, neurons this layer are generated during entire 2 month period corticogenesis, within middle 165-d-long gestation. The large, classical Cajal-Retzius cells, immunoreactive to reelin calretinin but not GABA, first [embryonic day 38 (E38)-E50], with peak [(3)H]thymidine ([(3)H]TdR) labeling at E43. Ultrastructural analysis revealed that processes these cells form a stereotyped, rectangular network oriented parallel pial surface. Genesis smaller, GABAergic begins slightly later (E43), reaches [(3)H]TdR between E54 E70, continues until completion corticogenesis (E94). These late-generated I imported from outside sources such as olfactory primordium ganglionic eminence via massive subpial granular may also supply some interneurons subjacent cortical plate. ratio large-to-small changes differentially, indicating each class is produced and/or eliminated different rate suggesting their roles primates diverse.
