摘要: The results from a randomized experiment conducted at American Economic Review on the effects of double-blind versus single-blind peer reviewing acceptance rates and referee ratings indicate that are lower referees more critical when reviewer is unaware author's identity. These patterns not significantly different between female male authors. Authors top-ranked universities colleges low-ranked largely unaffected by practices, but authors near-top-ranked nonacademic institutions have under reviewing.
