摘要: AbstractInformation about Grass Carp Ctenopharyngodon idella survival would be useful for improving the management of fish used aquatic weed control. Reliable methods estimating annual poststocking from radiotelemetry data do not exist because remain sedentary prolonged periods between movements, giving false impression death, only to observed alive (i.e., “resurrected”) at a later date. We constructed state-space, multistate mark–recapture model accounting uncertainty in live/dead states tagged large (8,500 ha) reservoir, and we estimated monthly survival. Model results were compared with life history-based survival, estimates that corrected state misclassification uncorrected estimates.
