摘要: Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is a controversial climate change mitigation technology that has been receiving increased public private investment over the past decade in several countries. During this time, diverse international network of professionals focused on advancement CCS emerged. Within community, shared perception value advancing generally assumed, community influential lobbying for support development many countries at level. The phenomenon an apparently perspective within specific relates to Haas’ (1992a) description evolution epistemic or knowledge-based recognized experts who “not only hold common set principled causal beliefs but also have notions validity policy enterprise”. Understanding extent which given can be characterized as provide insights about effectiveness its intervention, association with broader public, success communicating messages it wants convey. goal research begin explore nature community; preliminary characterization consider whether what ways might considered compilation multiple different communities. This suggests although may influencing decision-makers successfully garnering political technology, potential disconnect concerns deserving more attention social science research.
