摘要: Introduction Physical education teachers play a significant role in influencing the likelihood that their students will engage lifelong physical activity. However, with declining activity levels, particularly amongst young people, and increased prevalence of obese overweight children adolescents, promoting is one many challenges currently facing teachers. Teachers are required to quality learning opportunities develop prescribed outcomes skills, make experience enjoyable enthuse people be physically active. This study examines whether teaching games for understanding (TGfU) technique based pedagogy models touch football lessons influenced participant enjoyment levels. Methods Two groups (46 total) second year pre-service Health Education were observed participating both TGfU lesson football. Observers analysed time each additionally made subjective observations student enthusiasm level intensity At conclusion completed an questionnaire. Results The indicated resulted minimal variation most participants. questionnaires peer observations, participants was higher than model. Discussion / Conclusions Promoting adolescence through challenge. need reflect on own practice recognise alternative approaches may necessary ensure engaged challenging experiences which cater varying abilities interest levels towards games.
