摘要: Car-bodies are increasingly made with advanced high-strength steels in order to reduce weight and improve passenger safety. High-manganese austenitic have been recently proposed for such an application, due their excellent combination of strength toughness. However, a widespread usage these the automotive industry is conditional on development effective welding methods join high-Mn other steel grades employed adjacent car-body parts. Therefore, dissimilar laser welding, without any filler metal, between sheet some high grades, frequently fabrication car body parts, examined here. The weldments characterized by means metallography, tensile microhardness tests. Fractographic examination was carried out fracture surfaces samples.
