摘要: Background: Protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) is a common complication in pediatric patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Components incorporated the regulation of appetite and body composition appear to be focus renal insufficiency may influence CKD-associated PEM. The purpose this study was investigate plasma levels appetite-regulating hormones their correlation variables predialysis stage CKD. Methods: Thirty children CKD were selected compared 30 healthy sex- age-matched controls. Blood samples collected fasting. Serum total ghrelin, leptin, obestatin measured using enzyme immunometric assay methods. Anthropometric parameters measurement analysis done bioelectric impedance (BIA) method. Results: Patients showed insignificant elevated ghrelin (105.40±30.83 ng/l), leptin (5.32±1.17 ng/ml) (5.07±1.09 comparison participants. By BIA, had significantly different Dry Lean Weight (P=0.048), Extra Cellular Water (P=0.045), Body Cell Mass (BCM) (P=0.021), Basal Metabolic Rate (P=0.033) Index (P=0.029) Furthermore, water slightly ECW higher There significant negative between BCM (r=-0.40, P=0.03) fat free mass index (FFMI) P=0.029) patients. Conclusion: It seems that our results are insufficient clarify role PEM apparent there still many unknown related both regulating
