摘要: This paper describes the results of a camera-trapping study in Hawf, eastern Yemen, relationships between human presence and richness, diversity distribution wild medium-sized large mammals. The comprised 3,351 trap-nights over 225.3 km2 during which 963 captures 14 mammalian species 985 humans were obtained. Human was positively linked with richness diversity, but only when number ≤100 captures/site. At higher numbers captures, positive trend reversed three (wolf, fox porcupine) succeeded dominating their communities. also strongly associated colonization occupancy some species, decreased detection probabilities. Contrary to expectations, did not affect activity patterns species. Co-existence mammals caused by resource sharing, viz. establishment use same trails water sources, attraction livestock, garbage food leftovers, is discussed. In contrast, leopard, cat, Nubian ibex mountain gazelle are severely depleted. has significant implications for proper management wildlife conservation unprotected human-dominated landscapes, protected areas buffer zones developing countries such as Yemen.
