摘要: The two-phase base-catalyzed transesterification of vegetable oils with short chain alcohols is common in the production biodiesel. reactants (vegetable oil and ethanol) are partially soluble, this phase behavior can significantly impact reaction process. To better understand behavior, liquid−liquid equilibrium data for pseudobinary systems containing (soybean oil, sunflower rice bran cottonseed palm olein, oil) + anhydrous ethanol range from (298.15 to 333.15) K were determined experimentally. mutual solubility increased as temperature rose all examined. correlated NRTL model using temperature-dependent parameters which represented satisfactorily experimental results.
