摘要: Hippocampal sclerosis (HS) is the most common neuropathological pattern observed in pharmacoresistant epilepsy and represents a critical feature mesial temporal lobe syndrome. However, its pathophysiological mechanisms consequences on seizures remain mostly unresolved. The new international classification of hippocampal aims at standardizing description to allow comparisons between different clinical studies. several aspects are not considered this (granule cell dispersion, sprouting, glial modifications…). In chapter, we discuss these features associated with perspective "two-hit" hypothesis propose that could be involved modulation some specific like early life stress, hyperthermic seizures, brain lesions or hormonal modifications.
