摘要: It is common knowledge that materials used in endodontics may cause discoloration and thus impair the aesthetic outcome of treated tooth. The purpose this review to summarise existing on potential for endodontic procedures. A comprehensive literature search covering period from 1966 2011 was conducted Pubmed Cochrane Library using different keyword combinations including 'tooth', 'colour', 'discoloration', 'staining', 'endodontic''root canal''sealer', 'dressing', 'medicament', 'obturation', 'filling', 'treatment', 'portland cement', 'MTA' 'antibiotic paste'. Any relevant work published English language peer-reviewed journals presenting pertinent information related overview considered inclusion. In addition, bibliographies all papers previous articles were hand searched reference lists textbooks also reviewed. Articles excluded if an abstract unavailable, only single clinical reports or conference included, topic unrelated subject. Ten in-vitro studies, one randomized controlled trial multicenter met inclusion criteria. There not any recently would induce at least measurable colour changes. For a wide range currently available market there scarce no evidence their staining ability. Endodontic therapy should focus solely biological functional aspects, but take considerations into account as well. To reduce risk material-induced tooth be applied carefully areas concern. need further research field development non-staining evident.
