摘要: Many studies have examined the relationship between personality and depressive disorders. However, findings been heterogeneous many gaps in current understanding of their links remain. To gain a deeper comprehension depression, it might be advisable to focus on lower levels (traits) hierarchy. In this context, present study aims: 1) describe profile treatment-seeking outpatients diagnosed with disorders by comparing them control group, 2) explore specific contribution Alternative Five Factor Model identifying We used case-control design sample 315 adult participants. tested for clinical specificity dimensional profile, randomly matching 105 cases 210 controls from general population sample. The group scored higher than Neuroticism-Anxiety Activity Sociability. only high low discriminated both groups were significantly associated diagnosis disorder. Results indicated that is closely related depression should specifically addressed therapeutic process. Additionally, activity trait also reduced likelihood being depressed; finding implies psychological treatment ought emphasize importance maintaining level short long run. Our results help clarify inconsistencies regarding depression.
