Leveraging rule-based designs for automatic power domain partitioning

摘要: Leakage power reduction through gating requires considerable design and verification effort. We present a scheme which uses high-level description to automatically generate collection of fine-grain domains associated control signals. also describe method collecting the dynamic activity characteristics domain, viz. total inactivity frequency inactive-active transitions, are necessary decide domain's suitability for gating. Our automated power-gating technique provides savings without exacerbating problem because correct by construction. illustrate our using two wireless decoder designs.
