摘要: Existing empirical models of international co-operation emphasize domestic determinants, although virtually all theories relations focus on interdependencies between countries. This article examines how much states’ linkages with the system, relative to factors, such as income and democracy, influence dynamics global governance efforts. To this end, we study ratification behaviour 180 countries vis-a-vis 255 environmental treaties. Except for integration into world economy, which affects co-operative negatively, our results show that factors have a stronger more positive impact cooperative than factors. implies Galton’s advice not examine effects internal external variables in isolation is also useful politics.
