摘要: Neural stem cells self-renew and differentiate into neurons, astrocytes oligodendrocytes. In the developing brain, they proliferate, migrate neurons glial cells, which form trillions of connections in adult brain. Different from nervous system where neural are widely distributed, brain occurrence NSC is restricted to subventricular zone lateral ventricles subgranular dentate gyrus hippocampus. NSC, residing so-called cell niches, promote neurogenesis throughout life for maintaining plasticity They can also be induced proliferate injury sites upon extrinsic signals such as growth factors other signaling cues. this book chapter we will explain principles isolation, their culture well proliferation differentiation regulation, studied vitro vivo.
