摘要: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) remains one of the leading causes injury-related deaths in industrialized countries, accounting for 26% all trauma-associated USA (between 17 and 25 per 100,000 residents) [1, 2]. Of 2 million people who sustain TBI each year, approximately 70,000 to 90,000 will suffer from long-term disability with dramatic impacts on life individuals their families enormous socio-economic costs [3]. damage is a result direct (immediate mechanical disruption tissue, or primary injury) indirect (secondary delayed) mechanisms. These secondary mechanisms involve such diverse pathways as inflammation, calcium associated cytotoxicity, ischemic events, which may lead acute well chronic cell destruction [4].
