摘要: Although vascular effects of selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) have been extensively examined in conduit arteries, whether SERMs could favorably modulate myogenic response resistance arteries is unknown. The impact raloxifene therapy and cholesterol diet on constriction during deficiency unresolved. This study investigated changes reactivity responses female ovariectomized (Ovx) hamsters fed high-cholesterol (HCD) with without chronic treatment raloxifene. Functional studies were performed hamster septal coronary cannulated a pressure myograph. Acetylcholine (ACh)-induced dilatation was reduced from cholesterol-fed Ovx hamsters, but not those while pressure-induced unaffected. Chronic restored ACh-induced hamsters. U46619-induced increased control which normalized by treatment. pressure-diameter relationship presented as diameter versus intraluminal pressure, the effect ACh or U46619 expressed percentage tone at 80 mm Hg. Two-way analysis variance (ANOVA) followed Bonferroni post-tests used for statistical evaluation among different groups. P<0.05 taken statistically significant. present results show that benefit myogenically active (i) restoring (ii) reducing affecting deficiency. If such can be observed humans, other may useful to preserve endothelial function curtail hypersensitivity post-menopausal women hypercholesterolemia hyperlipidemia, lipid condition implicated pathogenesis myocardial infarction.
