摘要: Free flap reconstruction of the foot and ankle can be challenging in that it must fulfill functional esthetic demands. Injury this region is often associated with fractures, muscle flaps are sometimes preferred. Here we present a case use superficial circumflex iliac artery (SCIA) chimeric for complex wound. A 78-year-old lady sustained open fractures left distal tibia, fibula, talus, 10 × 6 cm2 soft-tissue defect over lateral aspect her due to an automobile accident. 7 3 sartorius component was inset cover exposed joint capsule, 5 SCIP skin paddle used coverage defect. The postoperative course uneventful, survived completely. Six months after reconstruction, donor site showed pleasing cosmesis, patient could ambulate supple without crutches. elevated based on deep branch SCIA, chimerically combined injury. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
