摘要: Abstract The ability to provide effective and adaptable joints for pultruded fibre reinforced polymer (PFRP) is crucial its widespread application in civil infrastructure. This experimental based study on 150 double lap specimens investigated the effects of threaded bolt clamping pressure joint strength behaviour, failure mechanisms efficiency bolted PFRP. Double both longitudinal transverse directions laminates with different edge distance-to-bolt diameter (e/db) were prepared tested accordance ASTM D5961 standards. plain increased e/db ratio up 4 no appreciable gain after exceeding this ratio. On other hand, about 30%–40% reduction was observed direction due thread tearing through laminates. leads a recommendation 0.6 factor preliminary design PFRP connections present. Meanwhile, only marginal difference 7% direction. Furthermore, introduction lateral had by 60%–90% has lessened casualty effect composite joints.
