摘要: An active anode plasma source has been developed for use in a magnetically insulated ion diode operated on 1010‐W pulsed power generator. This uses an inductive voltage from single turn coil to beak down annular gas puff produced by supersonic nozzle. The resulting is driven toward the radial insulating magnetic field accelerating gap and stagnates at well‐defined surface after about 300 ns form layer defined flux surfaces. beam then extracted this applying 150‐kV, 1‐μs pulse gap. Optimization of timing puff, production discharge, high resulted duration 75–150‐keV pulses with >100‐A/cm2 peak current density over area 400 cm2.
