摘要: This numerical study investigates terahertz sensing applications of metamaterials based on planar split-ring-resonators. In order to keep the manufacturing process sensor simple, arrays single split-ring-resonators are used. Two types resonators, square and circular, designed cover different frequency ranges. An unknown material is then added as an overlayer metamaterial in explore performance entire system terms phenomenon. The changes transmission resonances monitored upon variation thickness, dielectric constant, coverage (distribution within each unit cell) overlayer. results show good sensitivity sensors suggesting they can be used for a myriad biology chemistry.
