摘要: BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The prognostic value of obesity is unestablished for renal cell carcinoma. We assessed the age-dependent body mass index (BMI) in a large multicenter cohort patients with non-metastatic clear carcinoma (nm-cRCC). METHODS This study evaluated 2092 nm-cRCC who underwent surgery curative intent at five Korean institutions between 2001 and 2014. RESULTS There was no significant difference BMI young (<45 years) older (≥45 (P = 0.398). Among patients, high (≥25 kg/m2 ) associated better 5-year rates recurrence-free survival (RFS) cancer-specific (CSS) (P = 0.003 0.004, respectively), multivariate analysis confirmed that independently RFS CSS (RFS hazard ratio [HR]: 0.617, P = 0.005; HR: 0.588, P = 0.024). However, among there were BMI-related differences (P = 0.457 0.420, not or (P = 0.822 0.749, respectively). CONCLUSIONS nm-cRCC, favorable prognosis but patients. Therefore, relationship might vary according to age.
