摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes fluidization as the phenomenon that occurs when a collection of particles is immersed in fluid stream moving antiparallel to gravity at velocities sufficiently large so drag exerted on exceeds their net buoyant weight and they are thus free move. The fluidized state has certain advantages used reaction medium which themselves can be reactive or catalytic fluid–solids contacting device solids chemically inert but other transport processes taking place. If under conditions for distributor only small pressure drop relative bed, motions observed periodic horizontal decay vertical. In two-dimensional beds, these take form cellular flows, while three dimensions associated with toroidal vortex near distributor.
