摘要: Abstract Uncinaria stenocephala belongs to Ancylostomatidae family. Members of this family – hookworms infect millions people and animals worldwide. U. is most pathogenic in dogs other Canidae, which are the main hosts, infection causes anemia or even death. So far no effective hookworm vaccine has been developed that economically viable. Attempts identify antigens have led a group aspartic proteases, play key role parasite feeding, migration through host tissues immune evasion. The cDNA an protease from was cloned using RACE-PCR method. Computational analysis showed encodes 447 amino acid protein with molecular mass 52 kDa shows high homology proteases related hookworms. Analysis identified 1 potential N-glycosylation site, 3 disulfide bonds O-glycosylation sites. recombinant expressed Escherichia coli followed by purification mouse immunization. Using raised anti-Us-APR-1 2 (Uncinaria Aspartic protease-1) serum presence Us-APR-1 adult stage expression homologous L3 stages A. ceylanicum confirmed. This first phase work exploring biological parasite-host interactions raises hope for successful development against sp. possibly Ancylostoma
